Bobbie has served as the Clinical Practice Manager for Interventional Pain Specialists since 2003. Her dedication to excellence in providing quality patient care and her devotion to patients who suffer from chronic pain have been instrumental in conceptualizing and implementing Dr. Jim’s private practice.
Bobbie began her work in Pain Management with Dr. Wilson in 1996 at the Center for Surgery in Naperville where she was employed as the Center's first Pain Management Coordinator. She brings to the practice more than 30 years of nursing experience, including the specialties of Medical/Surgical, Oncology, Medicare Utilization Review, Operating Room, and Pain Management Nursing. Bobbie has Certification in Coding, Compliance, and Practice Management through ASIPP and Certification in Pain Management Nursing through ASPMN and ANCC.
Bobbie is an Illinois licensed Registered Nurse with certifications in the specialty of Operating Room Nursing and the subspecialty of Ambulatory Surgery. She attended Eastern Illinois University majoring in Psychology, Kaskaskia College of Nursing in Centralia, and later earned her advanced degree in Health Care Management from National Louis University in Wheaton. She belongs to the American Society of Pain Management Nurses, American Association of Operating Room Nurses, and is a Lifetime associate member of the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians (ASIPP) and the Illinois Society of Interventional Pain Physicians (ISIPP).
Bobbie’s passions include volunteering as a medical guardian for Honor Flight Chicago and serving on the planning committee for Operation HerStory – Illinois’ first All-Women Honor Flight. Bobbie serves as the State Co-Chair of DAR Honor Flight committee for the Illinois Daughters of the American Revolution; She has also served her chapter as Recording Secretary, and creator of their new website, which won the National Award for NSDAR VIS Website of the month November 2019. She currently serves as Webmaster and Social Media Administrator, Committee Chair of DAR Project Patriot, and Volunteer Information Specialist for her local chapter.
As a former flight attendant, Bobbie now serves as President of the Chicago-ORD chapter of Silverliners, a social and charitable organization formed by former Eastern Air Lines flight attendants in 1954. Bobbie’s purpose is to educate, collaborate, use her professional skills as a caregiver and her experience as a hand-holder and problem-solver to serve her community and to support and care for others.
