Extracellular vesicles have been getting a lot of attention lately and for good reason. Viewed by many as the “next frontier of cell therapy,” extracellular vesicles play an instrumental role in how the cells in our body communicate and rejuvenate. Often lumped into the same group as stem cells, they are small bubbles that our cells – including stem cells – release. They carry genetic information and proteins to other cells, helping to promote healing and bring new life into damaged parts of the body.
